Bio
I am a self taught painter from Philadelphia who has been creating art for the past eight years. I work Primarily with acrylic and oil pastel on canvas, as well as watercolor, sketches and assemblage pieces.
I've developed my style through experimentation and a commitment to finding my own visual language. I enjoy exploring different materials and techniques, allowing each piece and series to evolve naturally.
Statement
To me, every painting is a therapy session.
My work is inseparable from what is happening in my life and the world around me. While those influences may not always appear literally on the canvas, they are present in every subject, color, and intention. Love, heartbreak, joy, grief, family, and the current political climate shape every piece.
Painting is the only thing I've found that allows me to fully process and express my emotions and experiences. Rather than hide behind technique or perfection, I strive to be as vulnerable and honest as possible in my work. Every series represents a specific moment in time. A particular headspace, for better or worse, preserved forever.
